What drives the cost of a video in Mexico

The factors that define a video production budget, and how to get an accurate quote.
Shoot days
The number of filming days is the largest cost driver. Crew, equipment and locations are usually priced per day, so a clear script and shooting plan that fits the story into fewer days has the biggest effect on budget.
Crew size
A small corporate interview can be done with a director, a camera operator and a sound recordist. A TV commercial may need a director of photography, gaffer, art department, wardrobe, makeup and a producer team. The creative goal defines the crew, not the other way around.

Locations, travel and talent
Filming outside the crew's home city adds travel, lodging and per diems. Actors and models are priced by the role and by how and where the video will be used, which is why usage rights matter in a commercial budget.
Post-production
Editing, color, sound and graphics are often underestimated. Ask how many rounds of changes are included and which versions and formats you will receive.
How to get an accurate quote
Share the goal of the video, where it will be published, the approximate length, the deadline and any references you like. With that, a producer can give you a realistic budget and options to adjust it.
