What a corporate video includes: a guide for companies in Mexico

A corporate video is one of the most effective ways to introduce your company, explain what you do and build trust. But if you've never hired a production company, it's natural to wonder what's actually included. At Kontixu Visuals we've been producing video across Mexico since 2003, and here's what to expect, step by step.
1. Purpose and goals
It all starts with one question: what is the video for? A brand video for your website is different from one for recruiting, training, investors or social media. The goal, the audience and where it will be watched shape the length, tone and style, along with the one message viewers should remember.
2. Pre-production: the stage that saves the most
- Script: the text and structure, with voice-over or interviews.
- Storyboard: visual references for the key scenes.
- Shot list: every shot, where and with whom.
- Logistics: locations, permits, schedules and the shooting plan.
3. Production: the shoot
- Locations: offices, plants, stores or outdoor sites anywhere in Mexico.
- Equipment: cinema cameras, lighting, professional audio and, when it adds to the story, drone cinematography.
- Crew: director, camera operators, sound, lighting and production, sized to the project.
- Interviews and testimonials: we coach everyone on camera so they look natural.

4. Post-production: where the video comes to life
In post-production we handle:
- Editing: shot selection, pacing and structure.
- Color grading: a consistent look that matches your brand.
- Sound: cleanup, mixing, licensed music and voice-over.
- Motion graphics: animated text, logos, charts and subtitles.
One or two rounds of revisions are usually included.

5. Delivery formats
The main horizontal video for web or presentations, short vertical cuts for Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn, and subtitles in Spanish and English. Ask for these up front to get the most out of the shoot. See examples in our work, like our corporate film for Johnson & Johnson.
6. Timeline and budget
A simple video can be ready in a couple of weeks. Projects with several locations, interviews or animation usually take four to six weeks. Budget depends on length, shoot days, locations, crew size, drone or animation and the number of final versions, so every quote is tailored. Have questions? Check our FAQ.
